Mandela says that South Africa is a country born from a human disaster that lasted too long, an inhumane society with injustice and disparity. So the country must become one of which the whole world would be proud. He also mentions that the military chief whom he bedecked would have, not so long ago, rather than saluting him, would have arrested him. The country born through the continuous and relentless efforts of the freedom fighters like Walter Sisulu, Chief Luthuli, Yusuf Dadoo and many others would be one that would give equal rights to the oppressed and oppressors alike.

The white people of South Africa fixed up their difference and also raised the essential power against the dark people in the first decade of the twentieth century. In this way, they created the inhumane societies the world had ever known.
