How does mariner describe the movement of the ship as it sails away from the land ?

The mariner is very detailed and vivid about the ship leaving the harbour. The wedding guest is mesmerised by the event. The ship moved South happily enjoying reletively good weather at first,

The ship was cheer'd, the harbour clear'd, Merrily did we drop Below the kirk, below the hill,  Below the lighthouse top.

The ship was given a warn sand of form the harber it went easily by the side of the church, the hell and light house.
