Attachment is basically our maintenance of relationships. Whether they are close or far apart. All depends on us. While memory is our past relationship and time which we spend with others. So, memory is definitely related to attachment.

It includes our good and bad time which we spend with other people. It also may be an object with which we have a special attachment. Like a child has a born relation with the mother which become more strong with the passage of time and leaves memories.

Hope this will help you.

Attachments are kind of emotions that are affected by the well-being or by the negative feelings during a particular situation. When the situation is a happy one and it has happy memories, there is an attachment grown in between the people or in between a person and an inanimate object which provides the happiness to the person. However, when the attachment is lost due to loss of person or loss of the object, the memory is usually supposed to diminish which causes a loss of attachment.

Memories create emotions which are the basis of attachment as it is connected with an yearning or desires.

Also, attachments are more evident when the effective results are immediate. Like the satisfaction obtained after having good food or upon having an inanimate object creates more attachment to the object as the memory is recent and the satisfaction is immense.
