Minerals help in making many of the things around us like the structure of aeroplane, cars, make food tastier[salt],fuel and so on.so the need for it is very high.when need is more demand also becomes more as necessity is the mother of all inventions and discoveries.so minerals are vital for the economical and industrial progress of the nation.the presence or absence of minerals  can have a powerful influence on the relative wealth and economic independance of a country.in the olden days the life of people is not as luxorious as ours as they had not discovered the minerals or it's use.So this is how minerals play an important role in the history of modern civilization.
