HYDROGEN, IS A UNIVALENT IN NATURE IT MIGTH LOSE AS WELL AS GAIN ELECTRONS AND IS DIATOMIC. IT MIGHT LOSE ITS ONE ELECTRON TO BE NEUTRAL OR MAY CAN GAIN OR SHARE ELECTRONS TO BE STABLE.
DUE TO THIS UNIVALENT NATURE IT HAD BEEN PLACED IN GROUP 1 AND GROUP 17.

PROPERTIES :----

➡The group 1 elements shows univalent nature as they loses one electron, same as hydrogen can also lose to be neutral.

➡The group 17 elements show univalent it gains one electron to be stable, as hydrogen also may gain electron to be stable by duplet rule.
