How does moisture affect the fertility of the soil?

Soil moisture affects soil fertilitydirectly and indirectly by changing other soil properties. Nutrients are taken up by plants by taking upmoisture and by just contact. If soil is dry, some nutrients may be immobilized. If too much water, nutrients may be over-mobilized.
