money is a medium of exchange. daily useful commodities are bought with money. in earlier days goods were bought by exchanging. this is called the barter system but now money is used as an exchange medium

money act as an medium of exchange because it can be exchanged with any goods or service wich we need.wwith the help of money we can also measure the value of the good.in ancient times goods such as cattle,grains etc were used in exchange of any goods this known as barter system.
