How does mosquito act as a vector of malaria

INTRODUCTION;some insects and animals carry diseases causing microorganisms are called as vectors.
1)The microorganisms plasmodium causes malaria.
2)female anapholes mosquito caries plasmodium and thus it is a vector
3)they carry the diseases but not effected with diseases thats why they are called as vector

the answer is correct but this is not what is expected by our teachers in the exam......can u pls help with an answer dependent on the ncert book of science grade 9
