Mosquitoes spread a number of diseases as they are carriers of many diseases causing parasites....
mosquito is of three types like..... 1.anopheles  2.culex  3.aedes..
 anopheles spread malaria...
 culex transmits filariasis..
 aedes is known to cause dengue
