Misosa pudica, also known as touch me not plant, is a sensitive plant, which on touching folds its leaves, the movement is known as siesmonastic movement.

When we physically touch the 'touch-me-not' plants ,then our physical touch works as an external stimulus for the plant.

In the reaction of the external stimulus, a special type of chemical is secreted inside the leaves of the touch-me-not plants.

Due to this chemical secretion,the internal turgor pressure of the touch me not plant's leaves decrease and the leaves shrink it's physical size.

This plant movement is known as the chemotrophic movement.
