Music makes the world a better place. One hundred percent. For every example you give of what you believe as negativity (us vs them, generation gaps, etc) dozens of examples can be provided to show the opposite.
Is ALL music positive? Hell no. A lot of music comes from a dark place. But even that music will cause bonds between people who might be in the same space mentally or physically.
Go to a big summer concert. You'll see families, you'll see dads and sons, mom's and daughters, old and young, new fans old fans, all kinds of stuff.
Music is unselfish. It does not take, it only gives.

Music makes the world a better place because music can calm people. Not only can it calm people it makes them happy. some people listen to music to show how they feel instead of doing something bad, but it can also be used to show who that person is and what they like.
