The type of nutrition in amoeba is holozoic nutrition. As it is a unicellular organism it has no mouth for the intake of food.Instead it has false feet like structures called pseudopodia which engulfs the food particle completely in a food vacoule. The cytoplasm then secretes certain enzymes which digests the food particle and the energy obtained is assimilated by the cell. The undigested waste is expelled out.

Amoeba first senses food then it projects pseudopodia , digests the food and egests the waste . It is the process of obtaining nutrition in amoeba.
