Answer:

Octopuses and Dinosaours are different on so many levels in terms of habitat, biology and morphology

HABITAT:

Octopuses are marine, they are found in the seas as well as oceans whereas as dinosaurs mostly lived a terrestrial existence though some dinosaurs were found to be aquatic too.

BIOLOGY:

Octopuses belong to Phylum Mollusca. Molluscans are known to have a hard calcareous covering with a visceral hump, they also have a file like rasping organ to capture prey.A few molluscans have the ability to squirt out ink from their bodies to defend themselves from predator.

Dinosaurs belong to Phylum Chordata. They posses a vertebrate with a dorsal hollow nerve cord.

MORPHOLOGY

Dinosaurs have limbs however octopuses don’t, they have tentacles which enables them to swim swiftly through the waters.

Dinosaurs were known to have dry scaly skin but octopuses have a slimy slippery texture to their skin.

Another major difference between these two animals is that Dinosaurs have been existinct for more than 65 million years but octopuses can still be found today.
