When adrenaline is secreted into the blood it prepares our body for action. It speeds up heart beat and breathing, raises blood pressure and allows more glucose(Carbohydrate) to go into the blood to give us lot of energy quickly to run or fight. And Hence it is an emergency hormone. Additionally it is secreted in the body when body is under severe physical/emotional stress or depression.

Answer:

The body undergoes a sequence of physiological reactions known as the "fight or flight" response when adrenaline is released into the bloodstream.

Explanation:

The adrenal glands release the hormone adrenaline, also known as epinephrine, in reaction to stress or danger.

The following are a few of the ways that the body reacts to adrenaline:

  • Adrenaline encourages the heart to beat more quickly and vigorously, which aids in pumping more blood to the muscles and organs.
  • By relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways, adrenaline increases the amount of air that can enter the lungs.
  • Blood pressure rises as a result of the blood vessels' constriction brought on by adrenaline, which also aids in rerouting blood flow to the muscles and other crucial organs.
  • Blood sugar levels rise as a result of adrenaline's stimulation of the liver to release glucose into the blood, which gives the body a source of energy.
  • Adrenaline can boost cognitive function and aid to focus and pay attention more clearly, increasing mental alertness.
