1) our skin protect excessive loss of heat by constricting the blood vessels of skin(vasoconstriction) which results in less loss of heat by conduction convection and radiation as well as less loss of it by vaporisation of sweat.
2)the outermost layer of skin is made of a protein called keratin which is impermeable to germs.it is a little cal denfense system..
3) our skin consists a pigment called melanin in stratum Malpighi which act as umbrella and protect inner lying parts from uv rays..
