How does overpopulation affect economic growth?
Answers
It's simple more population ,more need of resources, but the resources are limited as to fulfil the need exploiting of resources which results in lack of resources and finally resources are important for economic growth it will slow down this process.
The effect of population growth can be positive or negative depending on the circumstances. A large population has the potential to be great for economic development when there is plentiful resources. But limited resources and a larger population will deplete the low resources leading to unemployment and scarcity of daily needs. Everyone must consume and overpopulation with less resources will leave little or no room for investment. Where there is abundant resources, the population will provide the required manpower for economic development. On a long term basis, overpopulation tend to decrease economic growth by faster exhaustion of the available resources.
