Ozone layer is the layer which protects the earth from the harmful or Uv rays of the sun also,it bounces back much of heat keeping the earth cool. If this layer is depleted, then Uv rays (which are harmful for us) will enter the earth easily. Also, the temperature of earth would increase as the heat that was used to bounce back will also enter the earth.

if it gets damaged all the uv rays of sun will enter the atmosphere which can cause skin cancer to humans
