Pancreas secrete glucagon and insulin.

Insulin helps cells to absorb glucose. This helps in decreasing blood glucose level.

Glucagon helps in breaking down of stored glucose (glycogen) and release it into the blood. This inturn increases the blood glucose level.

Altogether these two hormones secreted by pancreas helps in maintaining blood glucose to an optimum of 80-120 mg/dl.
