Hope this helps -----
Indian Parliament is comprised of two Houses : Lok Sabha (Lower House) & Rajya Sabha (Upper House). And whereas members of Lok Sabha are to be directly elected by the people, the election to Rajya Sabha is made through indirect mode i.e., members are elected by State Legislatures. Apart from that the President of India is empowered to nominate 12 members to Rajya Sabha for ensuring representation from various communities (who are small in number and doesn't have enough electorate to represent). The President can also nominate persons of eminence so that voice of minority is also heard for policy decisions. Thus, apart from the reserved seats in Lok Sabha, the Rajya Sabha is a platform where diverse classes of people are represented.

Answer: The parliament acts as a platform for different classes of India. Different people are elected from different constituencies and come into one place to discuss various issue, topic and solutions. Also universal adult suffrage allows people regardless of their background caste, race etc to vote
