Phototropism :-
The plants or organisms that show stimulus towards light or source of light is known as Phototropism.
As we know that plants have a chemical i.e. auxin which reacts when phototropism occurs. Stem of plants and tip of leaves contain auxin which causes them to grow towards source of light. Cell of the plants which show positive phototropism grows and where light cannot reach means the farthest cell it shows negative phototropism. The part of plant which show positive phototropism grows in the direction of light and the part of plant which show negative phototropism, they start to bend.
