Answer:

Explanation:

_________________________________________

Plants need Carbon dioxide (just like we need oxygen for respiration) as raw material for the production of glucose and inturn all the type of organic compounds which a plant have.

_________________________________________

Plants obtains this carbon dioxide from the air which is exhaled by animals.

Thus if there are no animals then the amount of carbon dioxide in the air would decline because of its continous use and conversion to other type of organic molecules HENCE the plant would finally die.

You can observe this by planting a small herb in an air-tight glass jar, which dies after a few days despite of full supply of water and light.
