Plants transport minerals from their roots and the roots absorb minerals from soil with the help of air, water and sunlight. Then transport minerals through stem. Then to the whole plant. This process is called photosynthesis..

♠ Plants transport food and water minerals with the help of two tissues.

★ the two tissues are:-

— Xylem

• Xylem tissue helps in transport of water minerals from the root of a plant to the leaves or stem of a plant.

• Phloem tissue helps in the transport of food particles from one part to the other parts of a plant..
