plasmodium undergoes multiple fission.during unfavorable conditions a cyst(a protecting covering ) is formed around the cell.inside the cyst the nucleus of cell splits several times and forms many nuclei.around each nuclei little cytoplasm collects.when favorable conditions arrive the cyst breaks and the cells present inside are released.
