POLLINATION CAN LEAD TO FERTILISATION IN FLOWERS ::-

.) The pollen grains are transferred from anther to stigma of the same flower or flower of a another plant , by the agents of pollination.

.)A pollen tube grows out of the pollen grain fallen on the stigma. the pollen tube grows from pollen grain to the ovary through style.

.) The two male gametes travel to the ovary through the pollen tube. In the ovary, the male gametes encounter the female gametes (ovules) and thus they fuse with each other. This leads to fertilisation.

.) After the fertilisation, the petals , sepals, etc. fall off and the ovules harden to form seeds and the ovary ripenes to form a fruit.
