Pregnancy happens when a man's sperm fertilises a woman's egg, which can happen even if you've not had sexual intercourse (penetration). ... The man's sperm enters the woman's body through her vagina, then travels through her cervix and womb to the fallopian tubes, where an egg is fertilised (conception).

when a male gamate get fused with a female gamate there is the formation of zygote. the zygote get developed in 8-9 months then there is the formation of the whole body of the baby. implantation is the stage of pregnancy at which the embryo adheres to the wall of the uterus. At this stage of prenatal development, the conceptus is called a blastocyst. It is by this adhesion that the embryo receives oxygen and nutrients from the mother to be able to grow.

In humans, implantation of a fertilized ovum is most likely to occur around 9 days after ovulation, however this can range between 6 and 12 days.

this stage is known as
pregnancy.
