By applying pressure and reducing temperature liquefacation of gases can be done. Two liquefied gases used in daily life are:
1.)L.P.G.=> Liquified Petroleum Gas
and
2.)C.N.G=> Compressed Natural Gas..

Answer: Applying pressure makes the molecules of gas come closer and thus they are converted into liquid phase.

The two liquefied gases used are CNG and LPG. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) which is mainly methane and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a mixture of propane and butane.

When gases are compressed, they occupy a smaller volume and thus more amount of gas can be stored.
