Pressure, volume and temperature help inliquefaction of gases. Pressure brings close to molecules of a gas that are far apart from each other. When more and more pressure is applied on gas molecules they come closer to each other so inter molecular forces start producing between gasmolecules.

Particles of gases are farther apart from each other and loosely packed. So, if we compress then the pressure goes down.If pressure goes down the gas will liquefied.
