Answer:

Explanation:

firstly, we all know in a lame man's language that reproduction's the ability of living organisms to give rise to new individuals of their own species. this is to ensure the continuity of life.

reproduction is classified into two;

  • asexual.
  • sexual.

since we are talking about humans we will centre it on sexual reproduction.

sexual reproduction involves the fusion of the male gametes i,e sperm and the female gametes i.e the ova or egg cell to form a zygote which later develop to a young offspring. a zygote is also called a fertelised egg.

there are two types of sexual reproduction;

  • Conjugation
  • fusion of gametes

fusion of gametes are for humans so we will throw more light on it...

Fusion of gametes is the union of the haploid male and female gametes to produce diploid organisms called a zygote. this process is otherwise known as fertilisation.

gametes are formed in the gonads. the male gametes called the spermatozoa or simply sperm are produced in the testes by a meiotic cell division called spermatogenesis. in like manner, the female gametes called ova or eggs are produced in the ovary also by a meotic cell division called oogenesis . this male and female gametes are brought together during sexual intercourse and unite or join together by fertilisation to form a diploid zygote which later forms to a new organism.

hope this helped; although if you need more help be free to ask or follow

i also prefer you read more on cell division to comprehed better. i also prefer you do it your self to understand better before  getting help. thank you
