Male Snake reproductive part :- paired hemipenes
Location= inverted in the male's tail
Female Snake reproductive part= cloaca
Location= posterior orifice/vent
Mature female snake produces pheromones ,aromatic odour to attract male snakes.Mature males if active will trace the scent and reach there where the female snake is.If both of them are interested will crawl over each other and get hooked up.The male will invert his tail beneath hers and introduce one of his hemipenes in female reproductive part cloaca.They will continue to remain in that particular position till the sperms get transfer.

Once fertilization has occurred, the egg begins to accumulate additional layers from the shell glands in the oviduct. In some species, this continues until a firm yet pliable leathery shell has been formed, permeable to both gases and liquids but capable of retaining much of its liquid content unless in a very dry place.
