1)if I take humans as example, during copulation or sexual intercourse sperm cells are transferred or deposited at the female reproductive tract and this is how reproductive cells are transferred

2) in case of lower plants water is the medium through which antherozoids reach thee archegonium

3) in higher plants it is by pollination
