Answer:

The ability of saliva to deliver fluoride to the tooth surface constantly makes salivary fluoride an important player in caries protection largely by promoting remineralization and reducing demineralization.

Answer:

saliva help in prevent from dental caries.

Explanation

When we eat food containing sugar the bacteria present in our mouth break down the sugar to form acid. Tooth decay starts when the Ph of acid formed in the mouth falls below 5.5

So The saliva which is basic in nature .when the saliva reaches to tooth enamel (hardest material of the body) which can neutralise the acid. When saliva does not reaches to tooth enamel (in any condition) so the layer is formed by the acid.In few days the layer can't allow to enter saliva to tooth. So our tooth starts decaying.

So saliva help in preventing dental caries

The best way to prevent our teeth from decaying we have to brush daily twice a day with toothpaste which is also basic in nature which neutralise the acid and prevent tooth from decaying.

hope it will help you have a nice day and keep smiling
