Shelly creates a negative impression of the king in the poem 'Ozymandias' by highlighting his proud and vain character. He considered himself mighty and strong and therefore, whenhe created a statue, he placed a board saying 'king of kings'. The king does not realise that with the passage of time and age, all the glory will fade andhe will be forgotten. On the other hand,he longs to remembered even after hisdeath and after many generations come and go. Thus, the poet depicts the king in a negative manner.
