Answer:
Shylock promises to out do the evil that has been done to him as he says to Salerio and Salarino when asked whether he would take the flesh of Antonio or not on breaking the bond, that Antonio has insulted him,put obstructions in his path a number of times, laughed at his losses, made fun of his gains, abused his nation and turned his friends into his enemies. Therefore,he further explains that if a Jew does wrong to a Christian then a Christian will take revenge then why a Jew should not take a revenge from a Christian when a Christian does wrong to a Jew .Thus, in his speech he justifies that he would take revenge from Antonio to satisfy his deep rooted hatred for him.
