the solubility of gases help both aquatic plants and animals.
Aquatic plants roots absorb carbon dioxide from the water and help in photosynthesis.
While in animals it helps in breathing the dissolved gases help the animals to breath (they follow double circulation due to lower concentration of oxygen present in the water).

The solubility of water, helps aquatic organisms in that, the water is able to dissolve gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide. This is important because, gaseous exchange in these organisms takes place in and and out of them from the water and back to the water.
