Solutions
Answer :
⧪ Effect of temperature on solubility of a solid in a liquid :
- If the dissolution process is endothermic (∆H > 0), the solubility increase with rise in temperature.
- If the dissolution process is exothermic (∆H < 0), the solubility decrease with rise in temperature
⧪ Effect of temperature on solubility of a gas in a liquid :
- As dissolution is an exothermic process, then according to Le Chatelier's Principle, the solubility should decrease with increase of temperature.
