Speed is distance travelled in one second in any direction, while Velocity is distance travelled in one second in given direction.

Speed is a scalar quantity while velocity is a vector quantity.

Speed = Distance / time

&

Velocity = Displacement / time

But SI unit of both are same ie. m/s
