Bacteria are divided into 4 types on the basis of shape -
1) Cocci - Round
2) Bacillus- Rod Shaped
3) Vibrio - Comma shaped
4) Spiruli- Spiral shaped
From this, we can conclude that lactobacillus is rod shaped and Staphylococci are round.
