When we perspire, the sweat we produce vapourizes after some time. The energy it requires to change it's state from a liquid to a gas, is taken from our body. Since the heat energy is taken by the sweat droplets, it leaves our body cooler than before.

Answer:
On a hot day, your sweat evaporates from your skin taking a little bit of your body heat with it. ... So sweat helps cool you down two ways. First, it makes your skin feel cooler when it's wet. And when it evaporates it removes some heat.
