Hello Friend
Synaptic transmission includes two synaptic Membranes Pre synaptic Membranes and post synaptic Membranes .Pre synaptic knob has chemical messengers like Acetyl choline which are released in to the gap between these two membranes.
These chemical messengers stimulates the receptors on the post synaptic membrane and pass these messenger to further Synaptic knob.
