temperature matters in external fertilization because in external fertilization mother (or female organism) cannot provide incubation as human female provide. So, environment helps in the incubation of egg. Eg.
- It has been found that in a turtle, high incubation temperature leads to the formation of female offsprings (or female progeny).
- On the other hand, in the case of lizard, high incubation temperature helps in the formation of male offspring (or male progeny).
