Temperature affects in the way that as you go to higher regions the pressure increases and as you go to lower regions the pressure increases.

As a result, if pressure decreases than the temperature also decreases resulting in colder temperature or climatic conditions and the reverse takes place for lower pressure regions.

They receive more rainfall than low lying areas because the temperature on top of mountains is lower than the temperature at sea level. Winds carry moist air over the land. When air reaches the mountain, it rises because the mountains are in the way.
