how does tendril coil around the support​

Tendrils have sensing cells which activate on sense of touch(Thigmotropism).The sense initiates prohibition of growth hormone in that specific area.The other side(opposite of the object), has growth hormone allowing to to grow.This makes one side longer and other object-facing side remain same.This makes it go round and round and get coiled around the support.
