i) When hydrogen peroxide reacts with sodium hypochlorite (bleaching powder). Sodium chloride is formed with the liberation of oxygen.

a. 2NaClO+H_{2}O_{2}  \rightarrow NaCl+H_{2}O+O_{2}

The reaction is exothermic because the oxygen bubbles out of the reaction solution

b. The reaction mainly depends on the concentration of hydrogen peroxide and we have to heat the reaction mixture to initiate the reaction.

ii) Silver oxide reacts with hydrogen peroxide to deposit silver precipitate with the liberation of oxygen

Ag_{2}O+H_{2} O_{2}\rightarrow2Ag+H_{2}O+O_{2}
