How does the amount of dna in generation remain constant ,though each new generation is a combination of dna copies of two individuals?

I think because DNA is always found in Cells in of the body.. And each generation is a combination of the DNAs of two individuals..
But, as the cells regrows by themselves therefore, the amount of DNA also remains the same..
