how does the amount of DNA remain constant 2 is new generation is combination of DNA copies of two individuals

we have 46 chromosomes which contain DNA each parent gives 23 pair of chromosomes and before pass it to the next generation DNA copies it self this process is know as replication

hence it remains constant through each generation
