The mariner described the snow and mist land as lifeless and snowy all over.

Explanation:

  • The remarkable poem 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' by Coleridge describes the journey of some guests for a wedding feast and their meeting with a sailor.
  • The mariner told them his journey to a land of mist and snow when his ship lost its direction in a storm and ended up in landing in a snowy lifeless land with ice all over it.
  • The thunderous sound of the ice made the sailor thrill.
  • There was albatross in the misty land that helped him getting the way out of the land, as they cracked the snowy path.
