The Ancient Mariner described the land of mist and snow as a calm patch of sea that was wondrous cold ,full of snow and glistening green icebergs as tall as the ships mast .the snow was drifting all around and it was very depressing place , the sailors were the only creatures there and only ice could be seen there and the groaning sound of ice echoed there which made the place more frightening.
