Comparison of the angle of incidence with the angle of reflection:

When a light falls on a mirror, it reflects out from the mirror. The direction in which the light falls on the mirror, the reflection goes in opposite direction. The angle in which the light strikes the mirror is called incident angle \theta and the angle by which the reflection goes out is called reflection angle \theta1. So, according to law of reflection the angle of incident is equal to angle of reflection.
