Red light has a shorter wavelength then violet ( red has the shortest while violet has the longest). When red light is passed through a glass prism, there isn't much deviation because of this while violet light will have the highest deviation.
Therefore, if violet light is replaced by red light as the incident ray, there wont be much deviation of light nor the light ray will be scattered much.
