due to the earth's atmosphere the various gasses and layers trap the sun rays in the earth's atmosphere. Due to these trapping of sun rays the earth's atmosphere doesnt become so cold. And these layers and gasses also not allow so much of sunrays to be trapped in earths atmosphere. Hence earth surface remains nither too hot nor so cold
